Our Sales & Installation Process

At Artisan Electric, our goal is to deliver an exceptional solar and energy storage installation experience—from your first call to final system startup. Our sales and installation process is built around a consultative approach that ensures your unique project goals are met—whether you’re looking to offset electrical consumption, secure reliable backup power, or future-proof your home or business’ electrical system.

Step 1: Consultation & Qualification

The process begins with a phone call to assess your site’s solar potential and clarify your project goals. This helps us understand what matters most to you, whether it’s maximizing energy savings, increasing energy resilience, or preparing for future upgrades.

Step 2: Preliminary Design & Proposal

Next, we provide a customized preliminary design and proposal that outlines system options including size, location, estimated production, and projected costs. This also includes available incentives and rebates to give you a full picture of your investment.

Step 3: Site Evaluation

Before finalizing the proposal and contract, we conduct a comprehensive on-site evaluation to identify and address potential issues—such as difficult access, outdated or undersized electrical panels, and other site specific conditions that may impact the amount of time and materials needed to complete your installation. This step is cornerstone of our process because it helps minimize unexpected change orders before, during, and after your installation.

Step 4: Contract & Project Handoff

Once under contract, your dedicated sales representative will transition your project to our project management team through a detailed contract intake meeting, officially moving your project into the installation phase.

Step 1: Pre-Installation Planning

A detailed planning meeting ensures alignment on all aspects of your project before paperwork is processed or boots hit the ground.

Step 2: Permitting & Utility Interconnection

We handle all the paperwork to secure your electrical permits and utility approvals for both grid-tied and battery backup systems.

Step 3: Project Scheduling & Logistics

We coordinate all project logistics including delivery of materials, porta potty setup, and scheduling of utility disconnects if required.

Step 4: System Installation & Start-Up

Our skilled installation team gets to work, culminating in a thorough system startup and commissioning process.

Step 5: Permission to Energize & Support

After the system passes the electrical inspection and receives permission to operate from the utility, you’ll be able to energize your system and reap the benefits of your new solar or battery system.

Throughout the entire process, you’ll have access to a dedicated online portal* that allows you to:
