IBEW Local 46 Rebates: Union Labor Makes a Difference

Thank you for supporting union labor

Artisan Electric is Western Washington’s largest union electrical contractor specializing in solar, a fact we are very proud of. Our electricians must adhere to rigorous standards and extraordinary education set by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), which puts them amongst the most highly skilled and trained workers in the industry. They are also paid a livable wage and receive excellent benefits, allowing them to live, work, and care for their families in an increasingly expensive part of the country.

Our union hall, IBEW Local 46, has already provided many Artisan customers with generous rebates on EV chargers, new solar installations, and upgrades to existing systems that fall within their extensive jurisdiction. We’d like to remind you that this rebate program is in effect until December 31, 2024. If you’re on the fence, take a look at the incentives below and save some money on your solar or EV charger installation.

Local 46 Solar Rebates – up to $2,000

New solar installations that fall within our union’s territory will receive $1,000 for projects under 5kW (DC rated) and $2,000 for anything over 5kW. This includes upgrades to your existing solar installation. The rebate process is simple. Once we receive the final payment on your installation, we’ll submit your information to our union hall. After being processed and approved, IBEW Local 46 will issue a check directly to you within four weeks. Your solar rep can provide more details during a no pressure, hassle-free consultation phone call.

Local 46 EV Charger Rebates – $460

All EV chargers installed by IBEW Local 46 signatory contractors within jurisdiction are eligible. Once your EV charger has been installed and inspected, and your Artisan invoice has been paid in full, we’ll take care of the paperwork that needs to be submitted to our union hall. They will review and send you a rebate check for $460 in about four weeks.  Please note that response has been tremendous, which could result in a slight delay in your rebate check’s arrival. We appreciate your patience!
Don’t have a charger yet? We’re happy to offer advice and options. Worried about your electrical panel’s capacity? We’ll take a look and provide solutions. There’s never a fee for an EV charger installation estimate.

What areas are eligible?

IBEW Local 46 jurisdiction includes King, Kitsap, Jefferson, and Clallam Counties. Check out their territory map below or speak with one of our reps for further details.

What if I live outside IBEW Local 46 territory?

Artisan Electric services all of Washington state for solar and battery installations, and a wide swath of the greater Puget Sound area and beyond for electrical and EV charger work. Many of our customers live outside of the Local 46 territory (and some of us do, too!). So, while we are able to work in your area, and provide exemplary union labor, the rebates are unfortunately not applicable outside of the Local 46 territory.
