Snohomish PUD is sunsetting the Solar Express program. Applications must be submitted by June 30th, 2017 and the installation must be completed by a PUD Registered Contractor by October 31st, 2017.

Snohomish PUD customers who go solar receive $300 per kilowatt of solar installed, up to $2,000 for homeowners above and beyond the incentives and tax credits available in other Utility districts. This is one of the best incentives for solar in the country but time is quickly running out to take advantage of SnoPUD’s Solar Express Program.

Incentives available to SnoPUD customers include:
Solar Express Program – $300 per kilowatt installed up to $2,000 per homeowner.
No sales tax – 10.3% savings in Snohomish County.
Federal Tax Credit – 30% of the entire cost of the system, labor, materials and related electrical work.
Washington Production Incentive – Receive up to $5,000 per year from SnoPUD for the energy you produce.
Net Metering – Utilities in Washington must give you a credit when your system “overproduces” and sends energy back through your main household meter and onto the grid. You typically build-up credits during the spring, summer and fall months that you use during the wintertime when you use more energy in your household for heating and lighting.
Incentives exclusively available to Artisan Electric customers:
Receive $500 to $1,000 from the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union) for using Artisan Electric.
A five-year, “bumper-to-bumper” warranty backed by the IBEW.
A five-year production guarantee. If your system doesn’t produce as projected, Artisan Electric will make up the difference to you financially.
