The Ford Charge Station Pro bidirectional EV charger not only charges your Ford F-150 lightning but can also supply backup power to your home when coupled with the Sunrun Home Integration Kit.

And yes! With the right setup you can use solar to power your EV, and charge up your battery backup system too!

Use Your Ford F-150 To Power Your Home in a Grid Outage

In the event of a grid power outage, the Ford Intelligent Backup Power system automatically switches to keep your home’s essential circuits such as lights, plugs, refrigerator, etc. running without interruption.

This weather-proof charging station can be installed anywhere you want, thanks to its Bluetooth-enabled and Wi-Fi-capable features. It uses an industry-standard CCS1 charge cord connector, which is compatible with all Ford and many other manufacturers’ electric vehicles (Note: Ford Intelligent Backup Power is currently only available for the Ford F-150 Lightning). It is a level 2 charging station that provides up to 80 amps of power.

You can also schedule charging and monitor charge levels from the FordPass App on your smartphone or tablet. The Ford Charge Station Pro allows up to 30 miles per charging hour for F-150 Lightning Extended Range models and 19 miles per charging hour for F-150 Standard Range models.
